RAS  TAFARI  IN  MOTION

This renowned exhibition held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia under its previous name ‘Ras Tafari The Majesty & The Movement’ is devoted to the celebration, preservation and authentic interpretation of the contributions His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I and the Pan African movement made to the 20th century leading  even into  this 21st century.

The main exhibition was housed at The Ethiopian National Museum from May 2014 – June 2014 with a satellite exhibit in Shashamane. Memorabilia, rare valuable items including His and Her Majesty’s personal garments and furniture, priceless paintings and ephemera were all on display. The UK Exhibition team worked together to research, document, create and contribute thirteen Exhibition Panels for the National Museum of Ethiopia. The Ethiopian connections with the UK during the 20th century with a particular emphasis on His Imperial Majesty's residency at Fairfield House were captioned.  In addition the emergence and successful rise of the Ras Tafari movement in the United Kingdom since the early 60's up to the present were also captioned including video testimonies form activists.

This Exhibition has also been on display at the Montego Bay Cultural Centre in Jamaica in 2016 and in the cities of Birmingham, Bath and London in Britain with notably a highly successful three month display at the iconic Black Cultural Archives in Windrush Square, Brixton.
